Samurai Arts

Traditional Japanese sword arts — footwork, forms and cutting technique with the bokken and katana. Build focus, precision and calm confidence.

The way of the sword

About Samurai Arts

Our Samurai Arts program studies the classical discipline of the Japanese sword, from basic footwork and etiquette to forms and cutting technique.

Training starts with the wooden bokken and progresses at your pace in a small, focused class. No experience is needed — just patience and a willingness to learn.

Benefits

Why train Samurai Arts?

  • Authentic sword training

Learn the fundamentals of the Japanese sword — grip, stance, cuts and forms — taught step by step.

  • Precision & control

Sword work demands exact movement and timing, sharpening coordination and body awareness.

  • Focus & calm

Meditative repetition and strict etiquette build concentration and composure under pressure.

  • Living tradition

Connect with centuries of samurai history, philosophy and warrior culture.

  • Strength & posture

Deep stances and repeated cuts build core strength, posture and quiet stamina — fitness that shows in how you carry yourself.

  • Train at your pace

Small classes and step-by-step progression mean complete beginners and experienced martial artists both fit right in.
