Questions? We've got answers

Still unsure? Call us at 905-841-2263 or send us a message.

Does my child (or do I) need any experience?

Not at all. Most students start with zero experience. Every new student begins with a personal intro lesson, then trains in classes grouped by age and level.

What ages do you teach?

Kids can start at age 5 in our Kung-Fu Kids Club, with separate classes for kids under 13 and for teens and adults 13+. Our Sanda (Chinese kickboxing) program is for teens and adults.

How often should we come to class?

We recommend training at least twice a week — that's the minimum to progress steadily through the curriculum. Most students train two to three times a week, with extra review sessions available.

Can students compete?

Yes. We're a member of Wushu Ontario and Wushu Canada and regularly attend competitions in both Taolu (forms) and Sanda divisions. Our students include national and Pan-American champions of all ages — but competing is always optional.

What happens at the intro class?

You'll meet an instructor, tour the school and try a personal intro lesson. We'll learn your (or your child's) goals and recommend the right class and trial program — no pressure.

What should we wear and bring?

Comfortable athletic clothing and a water bottle. We train barefoot on padded mats. Trial programs include a free school T-shirt.

Can parents watch classes?

Yes. We have two dedicated parent viewing areas looking into the training halls, a family lounge, and a play zone to keep younger siblings busy.

Is Sanda safe for beginners?

Yes. Sparring is controlled and supervised, with protective gear, and you build up gradually. Competing is completely optional.
